Shepherds Pie

  • 4 - 5 large potatoes
  • 6 sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablesppons of chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 dash of whipping cream
  • 1 dash Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 cup brown gravy
  • a pound lean ground beef
  • 1 package frozen peas
  • 1 large tomato, chopped

Boil potatoes in salted water to cover. Drain, cool and peel. Mash in large bowl with butter, milk and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Saute beef until browned, stirring to keep the meat crumbly. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, [arsley, tomato paste, worchestershire and gravy. Stir to mix.

Add peas and cook 5 minutes. Turn mixture into casserole dish and spread potatoes evenly over meat. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes unti top is crispy brown.
