grilled t-bone steak

Preparation & Cooking time: 1 hour
Serves: 4




  • 4 - 14 ounce T-Bone steaks
  • Olive Oil
  • Spice Rub (recipe below)
  • 6 ounces of Zinfandel
  • 1 can beef broth

Spice Rub Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon pepper spice
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine all ingedients and set aside


Place steaks in a large casserole dish. Pour in beef broth and wine. Cover and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Take this time to prepare spice rub and start grill (using oak or mesquite wood).

To Cook:
Remove steaks from refrigerator, drain and discard marinade. Drizzle olive oil on steaks and pat spice rub onto each side. Place over flame and grill to desired doneness.

To Serve
Plate steaks and serve with grilled shrimp and vegetables.

Wine: Zinfandel or Merlot
