Fireside Dinner


An impromptu romantic dinner by the fireplace doesn't have to be a major production.

How about a simple, slowly cooked German-Style Pork Roast, that has been rubbed with caraway seeds. marjoram, salt & pepper and served with a gravy of meat juices, sour cream and a bit of cornstarch.

Serve with a side of simple Rosemary Potatoes and a small heap of finely sliced carrots slowly cooked in butter.

Wine: Try a Chardonnay or a Pinot Noir...or both to see which you prefer. After this simple meal, there will be plenty of evening left to relax by the fire, sipping wine and...well, whatever.
