Banff Festival of Wine & Food

The view from our room -- majestic snow capped mountains. These sights
are typical from anywhere in the town of Banff Springs which is nestled in
Bow Valley amidst the lofty peaks of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The Hotel itself is also a major tourist draw, and offers tours for both guests and non-guests. Fashioned after a Scottish baronial castle, Banff Springs Hotel is often referred to as 'the Castle In The Rockies.'

The hotel wows visitors with its mammoth scale, heavy stone walls, intricate labyrinth of halls and rooms, and gargantuan fireplaces large enough to walk in.

At Christmas, the staff fills the common areas with tons of lights and decorations -- and what seems like -- hundreds of Christmas trees of all sizes.
